Vicki Masek
RN, BSN
Vicki began her professional nursing career in 2005 after receiving her BS in nursing from Georgia State’s accelerated nursing program. She began her nursing practice in Labor and Delivery at Northside Gwinnett hospital motivated by a deep desire to help improve the birth process for women, babies and their families. She realized very quickly that she enjoyed the continued care of the Mother, Baby and family as a whole. So, she changed her specialty to postpartum nursing; there she was able to cross train in newborn and the intermediate care nursery. Mother-Baby nursing was more rewarding for her as she felt she could make a meaningful difference with more time for patient advocacy, education, and emotional support. Vicki has also worked in the areas of Adult Medical surgical nursing, post-surgical women’s aesthetics, and post-surgical gynecology care. In 2014, wanting to continue to grow in her knowledge, she began working with Kaiser Permanence as an advice RN in the areas of women’s health, pediatrics, and adult medicine, and most recently as an advice RN for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Nursing care with families directly was very much missed, and why she so enjoys working with Nurse and Nurture. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, painting, and interior design. She lives with her husband, and their very playful 4-year-old English Setter.
