Shan Carlisle

Shan is a registered nurse dedicated to supporting families through the early days of welcoming a newborn. She earned degrees in Spanish and Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marian University in Indianapolis. She gained clinical experience in pediatric clinical trials at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville before beginning her nursing career at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta on the Bone Marrow Transplant unit. She later cared for expecting mothers in antepartum and labor & delivery at Wellstar Kennestone, as well as oncology and infusion nursing at Northside Hospital. Shan’s diverse experience allows her to provide compassionate, thoughtful care with a special focus on women’s health and the postpartum journey. With her psychology background, she understands the emotional and physical challenges new mothers face and strives to ensure both mother and baby feel safe, supported, and nurtured. As a DAISY Award nominated nurse, Shan is excited to walk alongside families through this most precious and special time. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and creating memories with her mom and closest friends.
