Leonyrose Gillespie

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and graduating from Jacksonville University’s nursing school, Leonyrose is a very well-rounded nurse in which she has experience working in step-down ICU, Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, outpatient pediatrics, and school clinics. She started off at a very young age helping her grandmother take care of her two younger cousins in exchange for a new Barbie doll every week. As she grew up, she would babysit her cousin’s children too. Prior to nursing school, she worked in Ponte Vedra Inn & Club’s Nursery/Summer Camp and Holy Family’s After School Care. Leonyrose has a daughter who is currently five years old. She understands the hardships of bringing a newborn home and transitioning to the new chapter in a mom’s life. She went through postpartum while in nursing school and understands how a little help goes a long way in a mom’s recovery, both physically and mentally. During her free time, Leonyrose loves to do karaoke with her daughter, take 5:30am cycling classes, and taste-test her chef husband’s food creations.
