Kerena Atkins

Kerena has been a registered nurse for eight years. Her journey into the world of nursing began after the birth of her first baby. The entire experience proved life changing, not only because she was becoming a new mother, but also because she was a young adult at a crossroads in her career. Interacting with the staff that cared for her helped her determine her passion. After her daughter was a year old, she started her journey into nursing, and a journey it was! It took five years in other specialties for an opportunity to finally open up in her dream job, but she is honored that she has now spent the last three years learning, growing, and loving the labor/delivery/recovery/postpartum specialty in which she currently practices. The time with the babies is wonderful, but what Kerena loves even more is supporting, educating, and bonding with new parents and offering help in any way that is needed. Kerena is excited to become part of the Nurse and Nurture team and support Nurse and Nurture families!
