Shannon Thomas

Shannon graduated from Troy University in 1994. She began her career in High risk Labor and Delivery where she stayed until her children were in school. Shannon also worked in the well-baby and extended care nursery during this time. She began school nursing to have a schedule similar to her children, and she fell in love with it. Shannon remained a school nurse for 18 years, even taking on the job of lead nurse for Autauga county during COVID. She finished her master’s degree from the University of North Alabama in 2021, and is now a nursing instructor at Herzing University in Birmingham. Shannon is an empty nester and looks forward to working with families during this exciting time of their lives.
