My name is Sophia and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clayton State, in 2005. Prior to that I attended Tuskegee University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have been a nurse for over 14 years and have enjoyed every minute. I worked 9 years in Neonatal Intensive Care and 5 years in Pediatrics. I currently work as a pediatric triage and Case Manager for Sibley Heart Center Cardiology and everyday that I help my patients to live their healthiest life gives me true joy. I am currently working on my doctorate in family Nurse Practice and my goal is to provide holistic care for the entire family. I am so excited to have the opportunity and privilege to work with families during one of the most precious times in their lives. Bringing home a new baby is life changing and exciting. I want to make the transition for parents to be easy and empowering. My goal is to provide care for every baby that I’m entrusted to care for, and also provide care for mommies, daddies and the whole family.
