Nina is a Registered Nurse with thirteen years of clinical experience. At the moment, she is enjoying her role working in Labor & Delivery, specifically in newborn couplet care. She has adeptly filled the roles of Charge Nurse, Staff Nurse and Preceptor on her unit. She also works in a popular OBGYN office, assisting in maternity care for expectant mothers. This allows her the benefit of establishing and creating a trusting relationship with the mothers she will eventually see when she goes into labor. In addition to her years of professional, clinical and educational experience, Nina also has three young children of her own. She is a native Ecuadorian, who moved to New Jersey at the age of 7, and then transplanted to Jacksonville, Florida 6 years ago with her family. She is fluent in both English & Spanish, which has been incredibly beneficial to her work. In between the busy schedule of a working wife & mother, she enjoys spending time doing yoga with her children, going on dates with her husband and doing lots of reading by the pool. She is a passionate traveler and tries to travel with her friends and family as much as possible.
Nina has a passion for helping and supporting women & newborns. She knows how difficult the transition into motherhood can be and hopes to help make it an easy one for you. She is trained in breastfeeding techniques from her mother-baby experience, and from her own personal experience. (She also knows that fed is best, and whatever works for both mom and baby is the best option.) She is also certified in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ACLS and BLS. She will lovingly & safely take care of your child while you get the rest that you need to be the best mom that you can be!
