Tashanna is from the Midwest, where she grew up in Michigan and lived in Indiana before moving to Georgia. She graduated with her nursing degree from Ivy Tech Community College in 2011 and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goshen College in 2014. Tashanna started her nursing career in Pre-op Day Surgery, before working in the pediatric unit for 4 years where she occasionally floated to the NICU to care for babies needing to gain weight or learn to bottle feed before transitioning home. Intrigued by the South, Tashanna agreed to a pediatric travel assignment and moved to Georgia in 2016. She has worked in an Outpatient Pediatric Cardiology Clinic since 2017 where she helps to not only care for children, but to care for their hearts as well. In her spare time, Tashanna helps to coordinate speaking engagements for her husband, a retired Special Victims Detective, as he educates communities and organizations on the effects of child abuse and trauma. Helping families in their time of need has always been a passion of Tashanna’s. She looks forward to meeting you and assisting with the care of your newborn.
