Katisha O’Garro

Katisha O’Garro was born and raised on the beautiful island of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. After working with pre-kindergarteners for two years, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to persue her degree in Nursing. While studying to become a Registered Nurse, she worked as a Patient Care Tech at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Mother/Baby. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she spent a year working in Med/Surg. Missing her first love working in Mother/Baby, she found her way back to Emory University Hospital Midtown where she could continue her passion in caring for newborns and their parents. Working closely alongside parents while welcoming their new bundles of joy has brought fulfillment she could not find elsewhere. It is her hope to provide a higher level of family centered care, bringing ease and comfort to families who have recently increased in size and love.
