Alana Kawall

RN, BSN

Native to Atlanta, Alana is a NICU RN with a passion for helping newborns transition smoothly from womb to world. Working as a camp counselor in high school and early college inspired Alana to dedicate her life to caring for children. She has always loved the warm feelings and comfort that comes with holding a baby. After receiving her BSN from Georgia State University, she started her nursing career at Grady Memorial Hospital's Level III NICU where she still works. Her favorite part about her job is providing tender and loving hands-on care to sick or special needs babies, all while giving parents peace of mind regarding their newborn's hospital stay.

Caring for newborns is an experience like no other, but it can be exhausting as babies require around-the-clock attention. Alana values the importance of proper rest for both the newborn and parents, and embraces every moment as she understands the newborn phase does not last forever. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, working out, watching sitcoms, reading, and crafting. She is very excited to share this journey with you!
