Della Gray
RN, BSN
Della is a native of Jacksonville, FL, growing up in a small town just south of the city. After high school, Della worked as a nanny while attending the University of North Florida, where she ultimately earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Right after college, Della discovered a passion for working with children with autism as a behavior therapist. Her two-year career in behavior therapy prepared her for the next step in her life as a pediatric nurse. Della has over 10 years of experience in pediatric nursing stemming from her first pediatric position in a neurology/GI medical surgical unit at St Joseph Children’s Hospital in Tampa, FL, and then transitioning to Wolfson Children’s Hospital where she furthered her skills in the respiratory med-surg unit. After three years at Wolfson, Della transitioned to Nemours Children’s Health, working as a nurse in the pediatric neurology clinic and working part-time for the Hospital Pediatric Physician Group as a discharge nurse coordinator. Della remains in this position today while pursuing her master’s degree in nursing informatics at the University of South Alabama. Della now lives in the Mandarin area with her husband, twin 4-year-old girls, and 2-year-old son. They love spending time at the beach, attending church, and hanging out with friends and family.
