Christa is originally from Texas and attended nursing school at The University of Texas Health and Sciences Center in Houston.  She graduated with honors in 2004 and began working in high risk labor and delivery at a large hospital located in the Texas Medical Center (Houston).  Prior to meeting her husband and settling down in Atlanta, she spent 2 ½ years working as a travel nurse at high risk OB units all over the US, including Los Angeles, Seattle, metro DC area and Denver.  She moved to Atlanta in 2011 and began working on the Labor & Delivery unit at Northside Hospital.  She has over 10 years of experience in Labor & Delivery as well as experience as an advice nurse for internal medicine, OB, and pediatrics.  The hustle and bustle of labor and delivery was always exciting for Christa, but the most rewarding moments for her were being a part of those precious moments when parents and babies finally get to meet each other face to face.  She and her husband have two young children under the age of five.  In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her kids, camping, hiking, cooking, and watching college football.  She clearly remembers the sleep deprivation and exhaustion from being up all night and day with little ones and looks forward to helping other moms get some much deserved and needed rest!
