Kristin K. Tepas, RN, BSN
Founder and President, Nurse & Nurture, LLC

Kristin K. Tepas is the Founder and President of Nurse & Nurture. Kristin founded Nurse & Nurture after years of working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and receiving dozens of requests from families looking for help with their newborn babies upon their discharge home. Kristin became concerned about the qualifications and level of in-home care for newborns and felt she could start a company employing only the highest caliber of caregivers.

Kristin is a strong believer in only using the most qualified nurses available to care for your newborn baby and employs very strict qualification requirements for all of her nurses. In addition, Kristin is also a certified Moms On Call Infant Care Specialist. The Moms On Call method works wonders and will help you get your baby on a great schedule in an effort to get him/her sleeping through the night.

Kristin graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has over 8 years experience working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northside Hospital, Atlanta. Kristin has worked in healthcare recruiting, medical device sales and spent a year on the PGA tour as a traveling nanny. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys captaining her ALTA tennis team, exercising and traveling to Cashiers, N.C. and Naples, FL to visit family and friends. Kristin lives in Atlanta, GA with her son Graham and her golden retriever/yellow lab mix named Piper.

 
   

Tamara Anderson, RN, BSN

Tamara is a Registered Nurse with over 13 years experience working at Northside Hospital. She is a Charge Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and has cross-trained in the 'Well Baby' Newborn Nursery. Tamara also has experience in home health nursing caring for medically fragile infants. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University. She lives in Powder Springs with her husband, two precious boys, two dogs and two cats. Tamara enjoys exercising, reading and hanging out with family and friends. In her spare time she volunteers in the nursery at her church in West Cobb, and is a co-coordinator for the neighborhood summer swim team. Babies are Tamara's passion, and now that her two babies are school aged, she enjoys giving her nurturing heart to families in need of trustworthy care.
 
   

Kaile Barnes, RN, BSN, MSN

Kaile currently works at Northside Hospital in the Mother-Baby unit where she's been for close to a year. She graduated from Emory University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 2010, Kaile returned to Emory University to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing, with a focus in Public Health. After graduating with a Master's degree, she decided to go back and focus on her childhood dream of taking care of mothers and newborn babies. Kaile was originally from a small farm town in Tennessee, but moved to Atlanta for school and fell in love with the city. She played softball in college and still enjoys staying active. She runs outside when the weather is nice and enjoys traveling all over the south to run in races. Her dog, Peanut, also keeps her very busy. Kaile was a babysitter for families throughout college. She is the oldest of 9 grandchildren, so she grew up being around children and she loves it!
 
   

Jessica Beattie, RN, BSN

Jessica Beattie is a Registered Nurse with 1.5 years of experience working in the Mother/Baby unit. Jessica graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University in May of 2009 receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Jessica worked in the Mother/Baby unit in a Birmingham, AL hospital for a little over a year. She recently moved to Atlanta from Birmingham, AL, where she was born and raised, to join her family after they moved here due to a transfer. She now works at Northside Hospital in their Mother/Baby unit. Jessica absolutely loves to nurture and care for new moms and their babies and is extremely passionate about her job. In her spare time she loves to go shopping and spend time with her friends and family. She is excited to meet new families and eager to accommodate each family's needs.
 
   

Kelley Boland, RN, BSN

Kelley is a Registered Nurse with 4 years experience as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse. She is currently working at Northside Hospital's level III NICU where she cares for preemies and sick infants on a daily basis. Kelley lives in Atlanta and has been a resident of Atlanta her entire life. As a matter of fact, she was born at Northside Hospital, her current place of employment. Kelley attended the University of Georgia and received her nursing degree from the Medical College of Georgia (Athens campus). With that being said, Kelley is a huge fan of Georgia football- Go Dawgs! In her spare time, Kelley enjoys physical activity such as running, aerobics and spin classes, and weight training. In addition, she enjoys dining with her friends at the fabulous restaurants Atlanta has to offer. Kelley does not have any children, but hopes to in the future. In the meantime, she enjoys taking care of infants for parents who need the help.
 
   

Nancy Crawford, RN, BSN

Nancy is an RN with 30 years experience, the past 25 in the NICU at Northside Hospital where she cares for infants ranging from critically ill to growing newborns as well as being part of the management team. She is a native of Pittsburgh, PA where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University. Nancy lives in Marietta with her husband and three sons. She spends her free time attending her boys numerous football, baseball and other sports activities as well as cheering on the Steelers! Nancy is devoted to infants and looks forward to using both her maternal and nursing skills to assist growing families.
 
   

Lindsay Daniel, RN

Lindsay graduated from Jefferson State Community College in December of 2007, with an Associate Degree in Nursing. In January of 2008, she accepted a position as a Registered Nurse in the Level III NICU at Children's Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Lindsay has such a heart for serving others and considered it an absolute blessing to have the opportunity to care for the precious little patients in the NICU. Lindsay and her husband are both RNs. They live in Hoover with their three children. They have a 7 year old daughter and two year old identical twin boys.

Lindsay is currently a stay at home mom and is very experienced in managing the care of multiples. Soccer is one of the other loves of her life and she is a member of the Birmingham Women's Soccer Team. Lindsay is also a U8 soccer coach for the Briarwood Ambassadors Soccer Club. She loves shopping, refinishing furniture, exercising and many other outdoor activities. Lindsay is very excited to have the opportunity to provide the highest quality of newborn care for Nurse and Nurture's Birmingham clients!

 
   

Laura Eaton, RN, BSN

Laura is a Registered Nurse with 8 years of experience working in the NICU, Pediatric Emergency Room, and Telephone Triage nursing. She is currently working at Northside Hospital in the Level III NICU where she cares for premature and high risk infants. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Georgia College and State University. She is a native to the Atlanta area, and currently resides in Kennesaw with her husband and two sweet girls, Ella and Molly. In her spare time, Laura enjoys photography, exercising, going to the pool and the park, and spending time with her family. Laura has always had a passion for working with newborns, which leaves her eager to share her knowledge and abilities as a Nurse and a Mom to inspire and educate parents.
 
   

Laura Echols, RN, BSN

Laura is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee who just recently relocated to Atlanta. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. After graduation, she spent two years in Guadalajara, Mexico working as a missionary with the International Mission Board. Upon return, she worked at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in the Mother Baby unit for over two years. Laura lives in Smyrna with her husband Keith. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, traveling, and reading. Laura enjoys working with new parents and their newborns and looks forward to the opportunity to serve families in the Atlanta area.
 
   

Jennifer Goldblatt, RN, BSN

Jenn currently works at Northside Hospital in the Labor and Delivery unit. She graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and English. In 2008, Jenn went back to school and earned Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine in Portland, ME, graduating with honors. She has been working in Labor and Delivery since she graduated. Jenn is originally from Massachusetts and recently moved to Georgia with her husband, two boys (James – 2 ½ yrs and Zachary – 6 mo), and their Portuguese Water Dog, Dollar. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys running marathons. She loves being a Nurse, working with new mothers and helping them learn how to care for their newborns.
 
   

Valerie Garrett, RN, BSN

Valerie Garrett is a Registered Nurse with over 4 years of experience working at Piedmont Hospital in the Mother/Baby unit. Currently she works on the weekends as the Charge Nurse for her unit. Valerie really enjoys taking care of new mothers and infants. She loves taking care of babies so much that she volunteers frequently in the nursery at her church. Valerie graduated from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University in Atlanta. Valerie lives in Dallas, Georgia with her husband of 8 years and their two daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking and sewing.
 
   

Lisa Hardin, RNC

Lisa is a Registered Nurse with 18 years experience working in hospitals throughout the Atlanta area. She has spent the last 8 years of her career as a Level III NICU Nurse taking care of critically ill infants. She also has 12 years experience working in Labor and Delivery, and is certified in inpatient obstetrics. Lisa is currently working in pediatric homecare, taking care of medically fragile infants. In her spare time, she likes to cook and bake, and is an avid reader. She lives in Roswell with her husband, teenage son and three dachshunds.
 
   

Traci Hayes, RN, BSN

Traci has worked at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for almost to 2 years. She is originally from Fort Oglethorpe, GA, and moved to Atlanta to attend nursing school. Traci graduated magna cum laude from Kennesaw State University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She was inducted as a member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society and received the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta 'Excellence in Pediatric Nursing' award. In May 2010 she attended an invite only Delegation on Nursing trip to Sydney, Australia. Traci will be returning to school later in 2012 to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham's online dual option pediatric nurse practitioner program. Upon completion of the program Traci will be certified to practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner in both acute and primary care pediatrics. Traci lives in Marietta with her husband and their 2 dogs. Traci enjoys all forms of exercise, especially running and swimming. She has completed one triathlon and plans to complete another one this year, as well as a half marathon. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs. She enjoys going hiking and camping and loves the outdoors. Traci is very passionate about caring for babies and children of all ages.
 
   

Kristy Healy, RN

Kristy is a Registered Nurse and a recent graduate from North Georgia College and State University with a degree in Nursing. She also attended the University of Georgia and earned a B.S. in Psychology and Spanish. Before becoming a Nurse, Kristy worked with children of all ages at a private preschool and as a nanny. She lives in Roswell and is looking forward to her upcoming wedding in May. Kristy is applying to nursing jobs and hopes to find a position working in L&D, NICU or Pediatrics.
 
   

Leslie Imler, RN, BSN

Leslie is a Registered Nurse with 4 years experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She is currently working at Northside hospital in the level III NICU where she cares for premature and high risk infants. Leslie is also one of the charge nurses. Leslie attended Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University in Atlanta. She lives in Canton with her husband (who is her high school sweetheart) and 2 dogs (Lily & Lucy). Leslie enjoys taking their dogs to the dog park to play and going out to dinner with family and friends. She and her husband also enjoy scuba diving. Leslie loves her job working with little ones and their families, and enjoys having the opportunity to work with them outside of the hospital setting.
 
   

Amanda Jarvis, RN, BSN

Amanda is a Registered Nurse with seven years experience in Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Mother/Baby nursing. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Amanda is a native of Cartersville, Ga. She is a proud aunt to a niece and two nephews, but currently does not have any children of her own.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys going to Georgia Tech football games, traveling, reading and spending time with friends and family. Babies are Amanda’s passion and she looks forward to helping you care for your sweet little one.

 
   

Debbie Kibwage, RN, BSN, MS

Debbie is a Registered Nurse with 3 years of experience working in a pediatric hospital where she gained valuable experience caring for critically ill babies and children with various diseases and ailments. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing. She also has a Master of Science Degree in Health Care Management. Debbie is originally from England and passes the time away by being a loving wife and taking care of her two beautiful children. She currently resides in Kennesaw, GA and works as a Staff Nurse at a Pediatric Pulmonary office caring, treating and educating families about respiratory illnesses. Debbie loves caring for babies and children and she looks forward to giving many new parents a much needed good night’s sleep.
 
   

Elizabeth Koster, RN, CBC

Elizabeth is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has 3 years of experience working in labor and delivery at Carolinas Medical Center and currently serves on the Lactation Advisory Committee for the hospital. In addition, Elizabeth also holds a certification in biblical counseling and has over 10 years experience in individual and marital counseling in the Charlotte area. In her spare time she loves to sew, read and travel. Elizabeth has two children, ages 19 and 16, and looks forward to helping new families with their precious newborns!
 
   

Lisa Kubiak, RN, BSN

Lisa is a Registered Nurse with 20 years experience, 13 of them were spent in the NICU. She has worked in the Level III NICU at Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, NY, Northside Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. As a NICU Nurse Lisa has been a charge nurse, a member of the resuscitation team attending high risk deliveries and worked with sick infants in the Surgical NICU at Scottish Rite. Lisa lives in Lawrenceville with her husband Darren and son and daughter. Lisa has a special appreciation for preemies. Her own son was born 9 weeks prematurely and spent 8 weeks in the NICU. When not working, Lisa enjoys cooking and sewing. She is a member of the Atlanta Smocking Guild that makes smocked gown for premature infants. Lisa is currently working as a school nurse for Gwinnett County Public Schools. Nurse and Nurture allows her to share her passion of caring for babies with new parents.
 
   

Natalie Lee, RN, BSN

Natalie has been providing care since the age of 18 when she joined the United States Air Force Reserve. Since then she has earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercer University. Natalie is employed by Northside Hospital and has worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the past two years. She currently lives in Buckhead and enjoys traveling with her boyfriend, entertaining guests in her home and spoiling her three year old Pomeranian.

Natalie really enjoys offering her time to new parents to help them transition into parenthood and help get their babies into a good routine.

 
   

Sarah Lovelace, RN, BSN

Sarah is a Chicago native and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from North Park University. She has 5 years of experience caring for critically ill newborns and pediatric patients with life threatening medical conditions. She currently works on a pulmonology floor and in the acute care unit at Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She especially enjoys teaching parents/family members of those caring for the baby and preparing them for the transition from hospital to home.

Sarah lives in Mableton with her husband and nine month old daughter. In her spare time she enjoys taking her daughter to mommy and me music class and experimenting with cooking new dishes for her family and friends.
 
   

Meadow Manley, RN, BSN

Meadow obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Georgia Southern University. She has over 10 years of experience working in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northside Hospital where she cares for premature and sick infants. Meadow and her husband have three young children ages 4 years, 22 months, and 6 months.

In her free time Meadow enjoys photography, attending MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), and spending time with family and friends. Taking care of children has been a lifelong passion of hers, and helping parents adjust and care for a new baby is something she takes pride in and enjoy.

 
   

Melissa Miller, RN, BSN

Melissa is a Registered Nurse with over 9 years of experience. She currently works at Piedmont Hospital in the Newborn Admission and Transition Unit where she admits newborn babies and provides extra care and attention to babies who have difficulty transitioning into their new life outside of mom. She loves her career and feels privileged to be a part of a special family moment welcoming a new baby into their lives. Melissa graduated from the State University of West Georgia in Carrollton and currently lives in Jefferson with her husband and 3 small boys. She has a unique perspective on preemie life and the NICU experience due to her oldest son being born at 23weeks 6days gestation. Melissa and her husband spent 4 months in the NICU watching him grow. Melissa understands the demands of a new mom and appreciates her husband for being a stay at home dad. She looks forward to helping you get some much deserved rest as well.

 
   

Mary Glenn Moorehead, RN, BSN

Mary Glenn is a Registered Nurse with 2 years experience working in Women's Services at Piedmont Hospital. Her primary responsibilities are to provide nursing care to newborns and postpartum mothers. Mary Glenn graduated cum laude from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University in Atlanta, wherein she received the Piedmont Scholarship and Gus Verdery Memorial Mental Health Nursing Award. Prior to attending Georgia Baptist College, Mary Glenn obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Child & Family Development at the University of Georgia. As an intern for the First Steps Program, she developed educational brochures on child development and infant safety. She currently volunteers at the Children's Ministry of Buckhead Church in the baby room and has fifteen plus years of babysitting experience. She lives in Alpharetta with her husband, Cory, and her King Charles spaniel, Dixie, who is her baby for now. She has devoted her life to taking care of children and looks forward to doting on yours!
 
   

Sarah Nobles, RN

Sarah is a Registered Nurse with 6 years of experience working on the Mother/Baby Unit at Presbyterian Hospital. She attended Queens University in Charlotte. Sarah lives in Gastonia, NC with her husband of six years, two children and a hyper boxer named "Holly". She absolutely loves being a Mom and stays very busy keeping up with her young son and daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking day trips to the mountains. Sarah really enjoys her work at the hospital and looks forward to caring for your precious newborn and giving many new parents a good night's sleep.
 
   

Julie Parmenter, RN, BSN

Julie is a native of Cartersville, Georgia. She graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, AL in 2009 and has been working at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston for the last year and a half. Julie spent her first 6 months as a nurse working in a Stepdown ICU and has since transferred to Pediatrics where she has worked on a Pediatric Surgical floor and now the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Julie has also worked as a nanny and has babysat for most of her life, so she is very comfortable around babies. Julie currently lives in Atlanta with her cat Meeko. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, watching college football and shopping with friends. Julie absolutely loves her job, loves newborn babies and looks forward to helping out families in the Atlanta area!
 
   

Kelly Radecky, RN

Kelly is a native of Ludington, Michigan and relocated to Orlando, Florida in 2006. She graduated from the School of Nursing at Valencia Community College in 2010 and has since been employed with Oncology and Hematology Consults, PA of Orlando at Florida Hospital. She is Chemotherapy certified through Florida Hospital. Caring for patients battling cancer and blood disorders is a dream come true. Kelly also does a lot of babysitting and overnight care for children of all ages. While in Nursing School, Kelly completed her clinical rotations at Florida Hospital's Disney Pavilion and Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital on the hematology/oncology and progressive care units. She is currently completing her last semester of EMT/Paramedic school in hopes of one day transitioning into emergency medicine and trauma/flight nursing.

In her spare time Kelly is often found at Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis Florida. She is on the volunteer medical staff at the camp which holds both weekend and week-long retreats for children with terminal illnesses. Kelly likes spending time with her friends and family, shopping, boating, skiing, watching college football (Go UCF Knights), watching hockey (Detroit Redwings), and just being outside. And of course, Kelly loves children!

 
   

Suzanne M. Richter, RN, BSN

Suzanne is a Registered Nurse with 10 years of experience working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She is currently working at Northside hospital in the level III NICU where she cares for premature and high risk infants. Suzanne graduated from nursing school at the University of Texas at Austin. Nursing is a second career for her. She has two grown daughters, one who is married and in PA school in Texas, the other is a junior and an art major in NY. Suzanne was employed as a nanny for triplets while attending college for her BSN. Suzanne currently resides in Marietta with her cats and dog. She is also a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, certified by the state of Georgia to inspect children’s car seats. Suzanne enjoys spending time with her family and working out.

 
   

Emmalee Schubring, RN, BSN

Emmalee graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May 2010. She now works as a Maternal-Child Nurse Educator and Nurse Home Visitor for first-time, low-income mothers in Charlotte, North Carolina. Emmalee did her clinical rotations in Labor and Delivery and Maternal-Child Public Health, which furthered her interest in Maternal-Child Nursing and breastfeeding. She decided to pursue her interest in breastfeeding and is now a Certified Lactation Counselor also. She is currently a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and also has been a babysitter/nanny for many families over the past 10 years. In her spare time Emmalee loves to travel, exercise, and spend time with her family and friends. Emmalee loves working for Nurse and Nurture because she loves providing nurturing care for new babies and being able to help new mothers and families!
 
   

Heidi C. Setchel, RN, BSN

Heidi Setchel is a Registered Nurse with nearly two years experience working in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northside Hospital. Heidi attended the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology. Go Dawgs! She then went on to the University of Georgia Southern and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Heidi lives with her husband and two basset hounds (Georgia and Jellybean) in Marietta. Both Heidi and her husband are actively involved in their church, St. James' Church. They also spend time fostering basset hounds for Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia. Heidi loves her job working with infants and helping families with their care.
 
   

Sarah Patrick Sharpless, RN, BSN

Sarah is a Registered Nurse with nearly 4 years of experience working in Labor and Delivery, Newborn Nursery, Mother Baby and she assists in the NICU whenever possible. She attended the University of Georgia and transferred to Clayton State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Sarah holds many certifications within her specialty including NRP, BLS, PALS and ACLS. She is also an instructor for the newborn care and sibling classes at her hospital. Sarah has worked as a nanny and has babysat for most of her life, so she is very comfortable around babies. Sarah currently lives in Covington with her husband and 3 dogs. She LOVES college football, "Go Dawgs", and likes shopping with friends. Sarah absolutely loves her job and wants children in the future. She has a true passion for infants and their families who need a little extra help.
 
   

Tonya Simmons, RN, BSN

Tonya is a Registered Nurse with 4 years experience as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse. She is currently working at Northside Hospital's Level III NICU where she cares for critically ill neonates and premature infants. Tonya graduated from Brenau University, in Gainesville, Ga., with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She lives with her husband and 2 1/2 year old son (who was born 2 months premature). In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, shopping, laying by the pool, and spending quality time with her family. She is also involved in a children's program at Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she attends regularly.
 
   

Kyla Steffney, RN, BSN

Kyla is a Registered Nurse with five years experience in the Mother/Baby unit at Winnie Palmer Hospital in Orlando. She is currently pursuing her master's degree at Nova Southeastern University. In her free time, Kyla enjoys playing the cello, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is accustomed to working nights and truly enjoys caring for newborn babies. She wants to give you the ability to relax and sleep soundly with the knowledge that your top priority is in well trained hands. Kyla also holds a current license from the American Heart Association in Neonatal Resuscitation.
 
   

Triste Stoddard, RN, ASN

Triste is a Registered Nurse with 6 years experience working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She is currently working at Northside Hospital in the Level III NICU where she cares for critically ill and premature infants. She is also one of the Charge Nurses in the NICU. Triste attended Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta. Before graduating from nursing school, Triste worked as a nanny for a family in Dunwoody for two years. Triste lives in Woodstock with her husband and three children (all born at Northside Hospital). She loves to read, spend time at the pool and enjoys lots of quality time with her three kids. Triste loves working with all the precious infants and their parents. She cannot wait for the opportunity to work with more families and their little bundles of joy!
 
   

Dorothy E. Sumter, RN, BSN

Dorothy is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Emory University. She has 16 years of experience in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, where she currently works. Her primary responsibility is in caring for critically ill neonates and newborns with life threatening medical conditions. She also does vital teaching to parents/family members of those caring for the baby once discharged from the hospital.

Dorothy lives in Atlanta with her husband, Alvin and is the active mom to their two daughters, Ashleigh and Austin. Nursing is Dorothy's second career. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and worked for IBM for 10 years prior to pursing a career in nursing.

 
   

Michelle Thatcher, RN, BSN

Michelle is a Registered Nurse with over 5 years experience working in the Mother/Baby Unit at Northside Hospital. She began as a nurse extern on the unit and after graduating from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, she transitioned to the role of a Mother Baby Nurse. While working as a nurse on the Mother Baby Unit, Michelle was a charge nurse and a preceptor for new graduates. Not long after giving birth to her son (who was born a month premature) at Northside, Michelle decided to explore a different field of Nursing , taking a job at an Insurance Company as a Clinical Intake Nurse in North Atlanta. This allowed her to be home more with her newborn baby. However, being a native of South Atlanta, Michelle and her husband recently decided to move back to be closer to family. She loves being a Mom to her son, spending time with her family and reading when she can find the time. In addition to having an extreme passion for newborns, Michelle is a firm believer in family centered care. While providing care to the newborn, Michelle thoroughly enjoys educating and involving all members of the family to help care for their newborn.
 
   

Renita Walls, LPN

Renita is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 14 years of pediatric nursing experience. She has cared for critically ill newborn and pediatric patients with life threatening medical conditions in a variety of healthcare settings. She has worked at a pediatric hospital, for the school system and in home health nursing for technology dependent children. Renita currently works at a private pediatric pulmonology practice in Atlanta where she cares for premature infants, medically fragile infants and children of all ages with a variety of chronic lung diseases. Renita is currently enrolled at Excelsior College and is expected to graduate from their Registered Nurse Program in the spring of 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys writing and performing poetry and spending time with her family and friends. Renita loves caring for babies and she looks forward to offering many new parents a helping hand.
 
   

Lori Watson, RN

Lori is a Registered Nurse with 18 years experience. Lori spent 14 years at Northside Hospital working in the Neonatal ICU taking care of critically ill infants and growing newborns. Most recently she was the Clinical Manager at a medically fragile daycare center. Lori is originally from Huntington Beach California, but now resides in Stone Mountain, Ga. Lori is a military veteran and was an avionic technician in the United States Air Force. Lori has three children, and is preparing for the birth of her first grandchild. She absolutely loves caring for infants and looks forward to helping many new parents get a good night's sleep knowing that their baby is in excellent hands.
 
   

Mindy Wilson, RN, BSN

Mindy is a native of McCalla, Alabama, right outside of Birmingham. Mindy currently lives in Pelham, Alabama. She graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 2008 and has been working at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham for the last 3 years. Mindy spent her first 18 months working in Neurosurgical ICU and has since transferred to the Women’s Services department where she works in both Labor and Delivery and the Level 3 NICU. She has also worked in the Emergency Department. Mindy also spent time in Florida working as a summer nanny while she was in college. Mindy and her husband Lee were married in October 2010 and have two dogs, Malley and Brie. Mindy is a member of Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist Church and enjoys spending time at the lake and traveling. She love all water activities! Mindy loves caring for newborn babies and looks forward to helping families throughout Birmingham!
